Until evidence is found which shows the contrary, I'll side w/ the likes of Carl Sagan and folks at SETI. We may not be alone, but our neighbors aren't anywhere near by. If they're still around, that is. I think radio waves will be our first sign of INTELLIGENT life out there in the cosmos.
