Miami Vice fans- any here? And should I get the 1st season on DVD?

It ain't sci-fi, hell, it ain't even from this millenium now, but I have fond memories of seeing it as a kid. Anyone get the dvd's? Are they good? Does the show still seem as cool as it was back then?
