I'm a rencent convert to Firefly. I now consider myself a Browncoat now! I've tried to get other people to watch the DVDs with me or (more importantly) go to see Serenity (it needs to make as much money as possible so Joss can make more!!). Those of you with more experiance with Firefly, how do I get other people to listen to me talk about the show or movie without them thinking that it's just another sci-fi show (which it most certainly is not). Help me in my quest to spread the word of Firefly all across the 'verse (or at least in my town...)

Does that seem right to you?

i think when it comes to talking to someone about it, it's hard to get someone to realize how great it is. i'd say tell them it's a sci-fi western, that usually gets people's attention, gets them to think about how that's possible for a second, at least. between that and foaming at the mouth while describing it, well, that should get them to watch at least one episode.

but yeah, the only way to really "convert" people, is to make them sit down and watch it.
