Mal in Serenity

Mal is really a hard guy. This is more apparent in Serenity than any other episode. I wish they had shown this first. (Duh!) When Mal said, "Walk away from this table," to Jayne that was great. You just knew that he wanted no discussion or argument and Jayne knew that too. I think if Jayne had said something, Mal would have shot his ear off or something. Mal is no nonsense. I like that.

I love the 'family' vibe in that scene, too. If I had a dime for all the times my grampa said just about that same line to me or one of my brothers, well . . . 'Serenity' is definately one of the better pilots I've ever seen, considering there's really not one I can think of that was truly extraorindary. It was certainly better than any of the Star Trek pilots and better, too, I think, than Farscape's.
