"Angel" moves to Wednesdays

Beginning in January, ANGEL will be moving from Sundays to Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. replacing BIRDS OF PREY. I guess that rules out FOX moving FIREFLY to the same timeslot because that would pit two Joss Whedon shows against each other. I've read that the studios have some kind of agreement with the networks to assure they don't have two of their shows competing that way.

But it leaves the possibility of moving FIREFLY to Sundays at 9 p.m. Personally, I'd abandon ALIAS in a second (or at least tape it and watch later) for FIREFLY.

I'm kinda bummed about this move... I have a standing Wednesday Night get together that doesn't involve a TV. Well, it kind of involves a TV, but not in a "Watch Angel" kind of way. Ok, I'll be honest, it's Karaoke. Every Wednesday from 9-1. And I'm thoroughly bummed that now I will have to chose between Angel and Karaoke. I mean, I do have a VCR, and that's what they are for.... but I hate not being there to bleep out the commercials. :(
