And so are you.
Kaylee read the note that was tucked into one of her overall pockets. It was so sweet and cute but what got her was that no one had signed it. She sighed; it was going to be one of those Valentine’s days.

Wash took one look at the note that he found in the console hidden in between the Tyrannosaurus and Stegosaurus and knew that Zoe had written it. “My autumn flower” her thought, what would I do without you. Wash smiled, slipped the note into his pants pocket and walked down to the cargo bay whistling… wonder what he could do in return for her.

Inara shook her head and laughed softly. Boyish charms always managed to make her smile. The note was tucked under her hairbrush in her shuttle. Who had come to visit her recently that could’ve left it? Kaylee…the hairbrush did make Inara believe that her closest friend on the ship may have done this. Mal… no, it couldn’t be, he came in saying that if she was leaving the ship then she better hurry up. Simon... hmmm, maybe, strange he was always very closed off to other females aside from River.

Mal found the note on his desk next to his Ship Log. He shook his head, crumpled up the note and threw it in the bin. He picked up his pen to write a note in the logbook, put the pen down and fished out the note from his bin. Mal knew most of the crew’s handwriting. Wasn’t Wash… though the Captain had heard him quote one to Zoe before, wasn’t Simon... Mal harrumphed to himself. Jayne… not even going there, Kaylee… well he knew it wasn’t her coz she already harassed him about sending her some note and he told her it wasn’t him. Definitely not Inara…he had to admit to himself that their time, what it was, had passed and could no longer be. River…
River smiled to herself. Her plan had succeeded. Childis
You know, it seemed to me that Jayne's feelings for Kaylee were really more sibling than sex-kitten, and that Mal looked on River as a daughter.
This was well done though, and I liked that you gave Simon and Inara to each other, so they weren't left out in the cold when Kaylee and Mal looked elsewhere.
Nice.
