Friday, March 3, 2006

Hi folks!

I made this last week, but didn’t had any time this week and I wont be at my pc for another, so I don’t know when I will have the time to continue… There is a lot of work to be done I hope u don’t mind if I post a half made model… :( But I hope I’ll have the time to finish it some day… :P
This is the raptor class how I imagine it (like a fat old lady)… :) The model was inspired by safeat2nd’s and Werzbowski’s blueprint… I hope u like it!

I had thought about the two engines per side too. One of my test versions had 'em but I thought they looked too small.

I still think the engines I used didn't come out as good as I had hoped. Hopefully yours work out better.

Don't let this get dusty, keep at it. Can't wait to see the finished version!

Nice looking ship but the VTOL engines look disproportionately small.

It would look more "realistic" perhaps if they were larger relative to the ship itself.

I don't know if you've seen Artships "Granite Gorge" which is a Fireflyverse 4-Engine transport

Other than making the side engins larger, I'd think about staggering them a bit so the rear engine isn't so much "eating" the exhaust of the forward one...

EG: make the forward engine sit lower and the rear engine sit higher on the sides.

Overall, the model looks great already though!

Also, I think, take the spoiler off. It really serves no purpose.
