Is it just me in the verse, or am I the only one who can't stand that meely mouthed idgit Simon, "oh know someone's hitting me again" Tamm? Shiny? That's a goram lie. Him and that not so there sister. But then I'm into hunky Captains with dark troubling pasts. Take my love Mal, and let's take Tamm somewhere he cannot stand.

Let's be fair now. Simon, as well as the others, never really got a chance to develop fully. My theory: Simon was going to develop into a valuable member of the crew, and he was going to toughen up nicely as the series continued. I love the whole crew and while Simon is still second to Mal, he's very good competition.

This is truly excellent. Last name is spelled Tam by the way to Anonymous. And to Anonymous 2, Simon never had a chance to develop. We got to see him fight for his sister, be literally willing to die for her. I think by year 2 we would really have seen him hit his stride. We were just at the beginning and basically robbed when the show went off.

Not to say that the captain isn't hunky either, but Simon was my favorite, because of his potential, intelligence and sheer devotion.
