Am I the only nut case out there that sees a warm, folky similarity to the "Firefly" theme and "Take Me Out to the Ballgame"?

OK, I'm an infant "Firefly" fan (I'm up to the "Jaynestown" episode of the complete series DVD) and a baseball-obsessed New York Mets fan from birth. But think about it: Why else on the DVD set for EVERY episode do viewers have the chance to play the Main Title and hear the theme? It's like a ritual for all of us fans - that moment in time, like during a baseball game, where all the fans rise as one and sing our love for the game. So all together now, throw an arm around a fellow Browncoat, sway back and forth and join in: "Burn the land/And boil the sea/You can't take the sky from me/Have no place that I can be/Since I found Serenity/But you can't take the sky from me."

So buy me protein and mudder's milk/I hope you all enjoy this long filk/So let's root, root, root for the Browncoats/If they don't win it's a shame/For we love the Serenity crew/And the man they call Jayne.
