My Firefly Jeans

These used to be my favorite pair of jeans...until i got hair dye on the left pant leg. I refused to give them up, so they sat in my closet for nearly two years. Finally I got a great idea... and a bleach pen.
The image is a little subtle, but i liked the way it turned out. The dye stains are still there but very very faint. I'm thinking of also adding the words "Firefly" or "Serenity" on one of the back pockets, but i haven't decided.

Thanks! It was really fun to do.
I traced it from a pic i had on the computer, cut it out, and then colored in the cut out portion. Pretty easy. The hardest thing was finding a pic of Serenity that would be somewhat identifiable in silhouette. Oh also, if you're going to try it, wash off most of the bleach in the sink before throwing it in the washer. That way you won't have bleach marks on other areas.

Ooops, my bad! Upon reading your description of the pants (kinda hard to read looking at that pic!), they don't have a back outline. I betcha with you in those pants they won't need one ;-)

Well, I can't take total credit for the idea. My friend bought a bleach pen a while back that came with stencils and directions on how to do it. So the idea really came from that.
