She'll confuse with her words, she can kill with her mind

They twisted and mangled my bright sister's soul

Her warmth and aliveness no use for their goal

So they just carved it out like so much old debris

No longer quite human, but still always River to me

I once glimpsed the old River, freed by a dance

So perhaps I can heal her, god, give me a chance!

But my one greatest fear is she'll never be free

And the dark hands of blue will have won this one too, and have stolen my River from me
