"How hard was it to put on? Did it cause any problems?"
The hardest part was making the image, really (or at least the most time consuming). Everything else was easy.
Once I had the correctly sized image, I simply connected the PSP to my computer via USB cable, moved the image to the memory stick inside the PSP, and that's it.
Then I just browsed to the image in the PSP's photo browser, selected "set as wallpaper" from the options, and voila!

Be careful if you do any homebrew software on it, the new firmware will wipe it out.

Could you post the image file that you used for the background so that others can use it? :)

To answer your question, thatweirdgirl, no, the update wasn't difficult to install. I connected my PSP to my laptop with a USB cable, downloaded the firmware to the PSP's memory stick, and used the PSP's interface to browse the card and isntall the firmware update.

I'm not much into the PSP (Not homebrewn enough, too much copy and modification protection crap) but if that was standard, I would buy five.
