Thank you for the cool vid capture! I was hoping others had caught sight of the Serenity landing.
I would imagine that the same SFX company that did Firefly was also working on BSG 2003.

Well, if it was truly a company called Radium as Forgottenfireflycharacter asserts, then I don't think so... as the Firefly effects were handled by Loni Peristere and Zoic .. who, incidently, left Radium along with two others to form Zoic... so that's odd.
... unless they were working on Battlestar before they left Radium to form Zoic last year. Hmm...

I know this was posted ages ago but a little research on imdb.com shows quite a few of the visual arts team worked on both shows. This explains many of the similarities between the cgi shots of both shows. These are all the names I could see worked in both shows from the visual effects section.
Raoul Bolognini
Kristen Branan
Jarrod Davis
Aram Granger
Terry Naas
Jose Perez
Kevin Quattro
Emile Edwin Smith
Lee Stringer

I recognize that building. It is in Vancouver and was used in a Smallville episode too.
