Sometime between Serenity and Serenity...

"No."

"What, sir?"

"No. You cannot marry Wash."

"Why not?"

"Because."

"Because why?"

"Because I said so."

"That's not a reason, sir."

"Sure it is. Your captain said so."

Deep breath. "You're avoidin' the question."

Grin. "Yep."

"Is there a reason, or do you just not like him?"

"What do you think?"

"I think I want to marry him, sir."

"Zoe, please. Don't marry him."

"Why not? Do you not like him?"

"Shipboard romance complicates things."

"Sir, you may have missed this, but there already is a shipboard romance."

Go Zoe! That is classic Zoe. Always in charge of the situation. I love the fact that you brought up the "who would you chose" issue.

When do we get to read about the wedding? That could be one classic piece of comedy-fic.
