First draft of a flyer based on StillShiny's ruttin high-larious "Sith Happened" shirt design. Let me know what you think; I'd like to get a final design by tonight so folks can start printing them out and distributing them to folks in line for the Star Wars movie.

Great idea, but that's a LOT of black ink! Maybe a white background?

"Sith Happened" seems a bit too in-your-face, as if Serenity and Star Wars are pitted against eachother - it might make some Star Wars fans defensive. I do like the wit of "Sith happened," but perhaps something a bit more inviting would be better?

On the note of too in your face... maybe use the other ep 3 marketing slogan: The saga is complete. Instead of making fun of the sith happens, hilarious as it is.

THE SAGA IS COMPLETE.

SO NOW IT'S TIME FOR

SERENITY! etc etc...

P.S. on all these shirt ideas... may i suggest changing damn to gorram? swearing on a shirt, minor as it is, will still detract from its wearability to some.

I concur with Whitefall re: "damn." Star Wars is a family film; even if you have no problem using words like that in front of kids, we don't want to offend anyone or turn anyone away. If I were unfamiliar with the show, and I saw that, I would be much less inclined to watch the show. Call me a conservative prude, but this country is full of us, and we need every viewer we can get.

(I have no problem with the occasional use of such words within the show or the movie, because people who don't want to hear it can change the channel - I just hate it when people wear stuff like that in public. It's much more in-your-face)

First of all, using terms like "gorram" and "'verse" are great for fans, but seem really off putting to people you're aiming to entice to the series. Frankly it makes people handing them out seem more like whackos than anything else. It's cute for "Browncoats" but rancid cheese to the layperson.

Secondly... have you SEEN Revenge of the Sith? Is this the same film with beheadings and dismemberings? Are we honestly worried about "damn" as a "swear word" too strong for people who've seen this?

And didn't Han say "Hell" in Empire Strikes Back, anyway?

Have people forgotten about "Big Damn Heroes, sir!"? Is that off-putting?!?!?
