We had a Christmas themed Shindig, complete with an Elder Gommen Gift Exchange! OMR was the episode of choice and the namesake for this Shindig as Mal says "Is it Christmas?". Combined with an "I got post?" feel of the Message as we all recieved gifts just for being a part of the shindig, it was great fun. So this is the poster I handed out to the other fans, it has the OMR title quote and the screencap I used for the tree came straight from The Message and of course it has my own (not-so)subtle touches. :)

it would be interesting if there was a Christmas-themed story, but not something overtly filled with schmaltz, ya know? I'm curious as to whether they would celebrate both Christmas and the Chinese New Year as well? that's definitely a fanfic challenge if I've ever heard one. what do you guys think?

A fellow Browncoat, goes by Watcho, was telling me how her sister was now watching Firefly because of Nathan Fillion in Castle.
