I thought you all might want to see my Browncoat, so here she is. And yes, I wear it on a daily basis; it's quite practical!

Just to add, it's a very heavily modified version of this coat (in walnut colour):

Before tailoring, it went all the way to my ankles (and slightly beyond!). After tailoring, it cuts off at about the knee. The only disappointment I have is that it's just not warm enough for the canadian winter. But, i'll be wearing it as long as I can! It's november and I'm freezing my arse off... but going strong!

you could always go for thermal underwear - long johns etc. :)
I`m currently looking into doing me a costume, so it`s intersting eeing what people have done. You`re not prepared to show the wearing of the jacket then :)
I`m currently looking at Riding Breaches (probably have to modify these with a stripe down the outside of the legs), Braces & long ridng boots. And then there`s a matter of a long leather holster (& weapon of choice of course)

That is the same exact coat I have, though I have not had my modified yet, but if that is how it looks once modified, I will get it done soon.
