The pants actually *are* pretty tight...they're just riding up due to the boots, a wardrobe issue I think I've fixed.

The boots are $20 cheap work boots at Wal-Mart (I know, I hate the store, too, but so useful for this sort of stuff), that don't match Mal's very well, but were the closest I could find. Riding boots would definitly be better.

Heh. The coat is the humdinger. It's actually a woman's longcoat made of cotton. I used Dark Brown RIT dye to get the color, took out the nylon inner lining, and low-and-behold, it ended up looking and hanging like light leather. I'll post some further pics of it.

The shirt and pants were thrift store finds, no big deal. The belt is from American Eagle (I needed a new one, anyway), and the holster and gun are hand made. The suspender attachments were taken from elastic suspenders I found (also thrift store), and then rebuilt with faux-leather vinyl.

Thanks for your comments, and if you want more specifics, just let me know!

Argalas, which launch of SpaceShipOne did you see? I was at the third and X-prize-winning launch. Damn good stuff!

Joss, huh? I've never heard that before. I'll take it as a compliment.

And I have a cat...not like Hobbes, though.

Thanks for the comments!

Great Job! I love that you were brave enough to dye the coat. Rit dye is one of my most favorite tools in costuming.

Next picture, pose and say BWAH! :)

Very cool, and may I say, very cute. You just need a big damn gun. :note innuendo. *giggle* /Fireflyfanforever.

Well, now...thank you very much Fireflyfanforever. I do, in fact, have a big damn gun...little over 12' in length...seriously, I made it out of metal and wood. You can't see it in the pic, but it's in the holster.
