OMG...that's sweet! (and CLOSE to where I live)

I won't bore you with the whys and whatfores, but I've lived in Cincinnati all my life and I friggin' HATE the Bengirls. I love this city, though. This isn't the best view of our skyline -- you can't see the Great American Ballpark nor the (friggin') Paul Brown Toilet -- er, I mean, Stadium. (No, I really mean toilet.)

lol gojiro, I know what you mean. I live near downtown and love working downtown. AND, I'm a Packers fan! lol

Something we don't agree on, Dave...had to be a first sooner or later! ;)

-begin soapbox-
Anyway Bo, maybe you should have waited until the game was over before you decided to post this (see the boxscore). Frankly I think this was rather rude. Not because it's the Bengals, but because it is Cincinnati and we have a big damn group of local Firefly fans. Simply disrespectful in my eyes. I am not demanding, rather I am requesting, you take this down and replace it with something more appropriate your fellow fans here might enjoy. An apology wouldn't hurt either.
-end soapbox-

Oh, and for those of you who don't know, or might wonder or care, the Bengals, like Browncoats, held the River Valley and choked Denver...23-10.
We will rise again.

Tenth, no offense intended, just a joke. Anyhow, if I would have waited until after the game, they would have lost and I wouldn't have been able to post it. I will remake it later tonight and repost it with it saying that actually won!

Not sure how this qualifies as either rude or disrespectful, TCM. Judging only by those that have responded, 2 out of 3 Cincinnatians weren't offended. And you have to admit, the Bungles have a losing record over the past 15 years, so the joke is valid. If Bo had made a crack on our excessive murder rate or the infamous riots, perhaps I'd be offended. As it stands, though, I think it's just a pretty good damn joke.

Sadly, I didn't see this until now, or I could have added my voice to the dissenting opinion. I grew up in Florence, Ky, where the Bengals are essentially the hometown team. I was none too happy with this my own self, gojiro. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool, die-hard Bengals fan, have been my whole life. Something like this is just pouring salt in the wound - especially on a night when we actually WON.

I don't want to beat this to death or anything, but getting offended over this is like someone in LA getting offended over a joke about the smog problem. Until the Bengals have a better Win/Loss record, they are going to be the butt of jokes. Why get worked up about it? And why make Bo feel bad about it? Ya gotta be able to laugh things off, folks.

Okay, funny and OMG! I though I was alone in this City! Where the rut'n hell ARE you people, You Cincinnati Whendonites?!

It's very cool and lonely when everyone around you looks at you like you're a terrifying space monkey when you say things like, well, “look at you like you’re a terrifying space monkey.”

So hey! If any of you Cincinnati area Travelers are looking for something to do the night before Halloween and know anything about Covington (yes, yes I know) Come on by a little funny happy, Alliance free bar called “Parrott’s Corner” The corner of Scott & Martin. Jayne’ll be there (hint, hint) and It’ll be nice to have someone ACTUALLY GET the costume.

Ok, guys, I really agree with gojiro on the whole getting upset thing. I live in Cincinnati, and I grew up near Cincinnati. I am not a huge fan of the Bengals, but I was cheering them on last night. You have to admit, though, that they really pulled something out of their eema winning this game. Heck, one of the papers here (can't remember which one) published "Please don't embarrass us" in the paper!! I'm not the only one who thought that they might blow it! Anyhow, I'm not knocking you guys who are big Bengals fans, I'm knocking their record for the past, what? 15 years? I hope they do well this year, but living in a city with the Bengals as its football team has been rather disappointing (until last year). Kinda like Tampa Bay was until about 4 or 5 years ago. Here's hoping they do better and it can be a Green Bay - Cincinnati Super Bowl!!

Okay, Bojesphob and Wiccanslyr -- you are missing out on some great Cincinnati Browncoat gatherings. If either or both of you are free this Saturday (and it sounds like Wiccanslyr might be), I'm hosting a Big Damn Halloween Shindig at my house in Reading. Email me at borcherdingcreative [at]yahoo.com if you're interested. Also, there's a yahoo group for Southern Ohio Browncoats and a meetup.com group for Cincinnati area shindigs. Anyone interested can email me for more info!

I got two cents (probably worth less since I'm not from the area). I thought it was funny. I just wish the town I grew up in had a professional football team (LA).
