Nanny and the Mercenary

“Kids Captain, we’re transporting Kids?” Zoë look at the Captain. “Thought you didn’t want kids on your ship?”

“Well, these kids come with a large amount of money attached to them.” Mal said between bites of dinner.

“Shiny, Captain, I like kids” leave it to Kaylee to see the bright side. “They are always so happy and mischievous.”

“I don’t know Captain, I’m not sure how River will react with a number of children on board.” Simon, as usual saw the dark side. “Running around getting into everything…”

“Two kids, Simon, two that’s hardly a hoard.” Kaylee laughed.

“Six weeks? Where we headed?” Wash was contemplating the supplies and such they would need for six weeks.

“Oh, I’m going to miss you.” Kaylee looked sadly at her friend.

I like story, just the conversations take me out of the moment. I like Jayne being all on her, then changing his mind, taking the high road. Really entertaining.
