The Ghost Speaks

What is there left to say?

I'm all corpsified and gross now, nothing left of me but memories.

Reavers staked me, put me to rest.

O how I soared! Like a leaf on the wind.

But Serenity crashed, gorram it, and my Zoe, hurtin', soldiers on.

This is a poem, not fanfiction. Sorry but I don't know how to edit this so as to appear as poetry. My point of view is that of Wash's ghost (spirit), after the BDM.

I hated to leave her, I'm not sure what to do, where I'm supposed to be.

Can't leave Serenity, don't have anywhere else in the 'Verse to go.

My family mourns, my friends weep for me.

Now I haunt the hallways, where I used to walk.

My dinosaurs sit silent, nobody to play with.

And we will call it, "This land", but it is forever my grave.
