Firefly cargo transport - war era! Artwork noted as by Cerebus. Love to get my hands on 40x40 inch poster of this. Anyone know if there is a poster available? It’s lower-right corner titled “ Desert Camp” seems to refer to a secret Browncoat base or rendezvous point out somewhere on a border or rim world. Love the heavy guns mounted or the vessel. Just gorram beautiful.

Serenity was using during the war, that's where the infirmary room modification came from.

Doing a little research on this I found that the ISV Cerberus was a war era Firefly transport gunship. The image pictured isn’t Serenity. History of the ship can be found in the link added. I was confused with the description and put those mistakes in the post above. Actually the history is very interesting. ZBP

During the war, Serenity was a medical ship. The shuttles were effectively ambulances, the infirmary of course was the "emergency room" and the passenger quarters were "recovery", and in critical situations, the cargo bay was for "triage".
I also read somewhere that Serenity was BLUE before Mal found her...and if you look close (especially in shots of the cargo bay door opening/opened (i.e. the stage set) you can see faded blue paint.
