Can't Stop The Space Pirates

On September 19th, 2010 ("Talk Like A Pirate" Day), join the Arizona Corsairs and the Arizona Browncoats for a charity event like you've never seen. For five years the Arizona Browncoats have been presenting Can't Stop The Serenity, bringing in nearly $40,000 for Equality Now and local charities. This year, the event has been expanded to include both Serenity (2005) and The Ice Pirates (1984), along with Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog (2008) for good measure. But that's not all. Musical guests Thunder Stump (a local comedy punk band) and Unwoman (a steampunk cellist with haunting vocals from San Francisco) will be performing live, as well as sword fight demonstrations, belly dancing, merch and home-made crafts for sale, an epic prize drawing, an appearance by the Arizona Ninja Association, and a few more surprises. The opening act gets underway at 12pm and the event will run until 7pm.
