I told Bytemite after loving some of her fanart that I was inspired to do some myself. I did warn her that it might not be very good. Not from want of trying though: I hacked off an ear while trying to get my Book right and I'm still not sure I've got the size of his head right. I should probably add that this was done with retractable pencil on A4.

When the strictly hypothetical sequel to Serenity is cast, all nine members of the Crew will be open for new actors. Joss can fill-in the faces using this picture as his template. Morena has cut her hair short so she fits perfectly into the picture. But Summer doesn't fit the drawing because she isn't built like a stick figure, anymore. By the time of the sequel, Nathan'll be too big for his Cap'n Tightpants britches. After season 7 of Castle, Joss will be telling him, “You want back your old role, Nathan? . . . Liposuction.”

Hey, thanks guys. Have to say that Book's head still jars every time I look at it. It's just too big. Or it might be too small. One or the other. Too big, or too small...

It could be the neck is too long, that can make a head look to big OR too small because size reference to body is less immediate.
