Summer Glau Flees Crime Scene

Sunday, August 9, 2009

June 24, 2006 -- In this publicity photo taken moments before he was shot, Executive Producer Richard D. "Badger" Titus, the fancy gentleman in a very fine hat, puts the drunken squeeze on Summer Glau at the party after the premiere of Sony Classic's "Who Killed The Electric Car?", Film Independent's LA Film Festival. Mr. Titus, shot once in the leg, was treated at nearby UCLA Medical Center and released. Ms. Glau escaped with the unidentified criminal gang.

Here is more fun with this picture. Summer's dress was reviewed by fashionista Heather in 'Fuggerfly' -- "From afar, when it was a thumbnail-sized photo, I thought Summer Glau's dress was actually a scene from a child's cartoon -- Thomas the Tank Engine, perhaps. And that was weird enough. But then, I saw it this size, and realized it's actually just a completely mystifying and terrible tableau of somebody's surrealist Fisher Price nightmares."

"What is that thing on the left? Is it the crumpled body of a person who has been left for dead? Is it... no, wait, now all I can see is the crumpled body of a person who's been left for dead. This thing is like a fashion Rorschach test. So unfortunately, it probably says very strange things indeed about my psyche if all I can make out is the form of a corpse, but at least I can take comfort in the fact that it says worse things about her psyche that she wore this thing out of the house in the first place."

Fashion in general is a bizarre mystifying performance where people lacking in the niceness gene can use clothing to criticize others when they can't criticize personality.

I wear t-shirts and jeans.

Duly noted the name of the magazine and the character cartoon versions behind the car.

Simply couldn't resist making the dig.

ON FASHION. Not Summer Glau, the point was I've heard that her personality is beyond reproach.

And now, before I continue to trip over my own tongue...

Well I don't know what it says about me then, but I think this is a really nice dress and rank this as one of my fave Summer outfits.

And not being serious at all I see a blue vest-ish type garment over an orange jumpsuit on the body. Wash perhaps? Was Summer predicting the future?

I finally noticed Kaylee and Simon to the far left of the picture. Well done!

I met Summer @ D*C, and I must agree with Bytemite, picking on her clothes is simply a means to be mean to someone who has done nothing to garner such. She's incredibly nice and polite, Heather could only wish to be as noble a person as Summer.

I like the dress. It was discussed years ago at fireflyfans.net.

Obviously, humor is dangerous. Heather, who wrote the Go-Fug-Yourself review of Summer's dress, is channeling the backstabbing spirit of the fashion world from the TV show “Ugly Betty”. The clothing reviews are parody. (Well, occasionally there is some lighthearted character assassination.) If you want to read Heather being really bitchy, go to her very own biographical information at:

I have no inclination to read Heather being 'really bitchy'. It isn't funny or witty or remotely entertaining. I have met Summer several times now and she has always been a total joy, a lovely hard working lady who is always kind and gracious to her fans. Can't wait to see what else she is going to be involved with work wise. Ali D
