Maggie and Jayne get married

Chapter 9

Jayne stood with the Captain and the Shepard looking a little nervous and a lot scared “Not sure what your plan is Captain but I wish you would get on with it, you’re cutting it a little close here.”

“Not sure I have a plan Jayne, looks to me like your getting married.” Mal laughed at Jayne's discomfort “Better off now then if I had let you trade for Saffron.”

“Here they come.” Book said as he straitened his collar.

Maggie looked at Jayne as she and Inara came down the ramp and over to where they stood under the willow tree.

Jayne only stared, mouth open as she walked up to him and took his hand “You look real pretty.” he told her, pretty hell she looked down right beautiful. Right now he would of said yes to anything. Captain was right about Saffron, Maggie was a much better deal. Hell he’d trade all his guns for her right now. The way she looked at him, with trust and respect in her eyes. Don’t know how long I can keep her, till I do something stupid and she realizes what an ass I am.

Book started with a short prayer, gazing around at all the faces. Some friendly, some not so much. Marco waited for Jayne to stop the ceremony. God she looked good, almost wished he had been able to wed her himself.

Lieutenant Matthews watched, making sure that this man married Maggie. To many young girls get sweet talked into the honeymoon first, then get no wedding.

Kaylee watched thru tears, can’t believe Jayne is getting married before me. I know it’s not supposed to be for real, but judging by the looks on both their faces it just might be. Wish Simon could see this, maybe he wouldn’t be so standoffish.

“Jayne, do you…” The Shepard started.

“Ask Maggie first.” Jayne interrupted the Shepard.

“Ah, Mary Margaret, do you take Jayne to….”

Nether one really heard what Book had said, they were both dazed.

“Jayne!” The preacher nudged him “You may…. Kiss… the.. bride.” As he said it he thought back to what Jayne had said about not kissing on the mouth. Looking at the rest of the crew he realized they rem

I normally hate OC stories, but I just can't get enough of this one. And there's sex in it, to boot!
