Chapter 4

Feels strange waking up in a different room, she and Kaylee had talked half the night away. Maggie got dressed and wandered out to the kitchen where she finds all the men having breakfast.

“Not as good as yours, but it’s filling. Figured it will be safe for you to leave soon. Thinking Zoe might ride over with you and we can pick her up in the shuttle. Want to thank you for all your help yesterday.”

“You’re very welcome, I enjoyed making a fool out of Marco. Wanted to say good-bye to Kaylee, is she around?”

“She and Inara went into town to do some shopping.”

“With them? They’re big girls, they can shop alone.”

I'm lovin' this. It started a lot like the movie "Morgan's Ferry", which is a good, but slow, flick and it has Henry Rollins. Some definite creative thinking here, and apart from the story being present tense, you're not hurting for lack of a beta.
