This is part of an image from the set of Serenity. With the gun and that look, I wouldn't want to have him looking at ME (I think he's actually looking at Joss). I managed to get several on-the-set photos (BIG SPOILER WARNING); I've put them at this location:

You're right, I suppose. I really wanted to be cautious about those photos; some people would consider the scenery there rather spoilerish (perhaps not BIG TIME spoilerish), and might take offense.
Not a sword - that's clipped out of a larger photo - it's a beam of some sort blocking the rest of him; Joss Whedon is most likely the person he's talking to (though he's hidden by the same beam).

Looks like the "gun" is actually one of the legs for a lightstand. Nice photos - how did you get them? More?

I remember reading somewhere that Nathan hates wearing the suspenders/braces. I guess he got stuck with them in the movie, too, poor guy.

Actually, I was referring to the leather holster on his left hip. His hand is just above it. If you look at the photos at the link I posted (http://www.sixbyte.net/fireflynwn/serenity/), and zoom in, it'll probably be clearer what's going on in the scene.

Terrific photos. That last photo, the woman in gold and black (is that Morena, or somebody else? I can't really tell) looks absolutely stunning.
