The needle glowed with heat as it seared his skin and pierced the vein beneath. The pain was excruciating, but the visions and sounds faded. The blue fluid rushed into his bloodstream as he ground his teeth together. He removed the needle and measured the rest of his serum.

"Gonna have to be enough huh?" Bo asked Simon who was standing behind him.

"I...I didn't know you- I mean I didn't mean to-" Simon stuttered.

"It's ok Simon, I knew you were coming before you decided it yourself. Go ahead and sit." Bo motioned to the bed in front of him as he removed the belt from his arm.

"I was just wondering if you could give me anything, that might help River?" Simon asked slowly, trying hard not to offend the only person who would have any clue how to help his sister.

Bo laughed shortly as he looked Simon over. The young man was worried. He wanted to help his sister so badly. Bo's brow furrowed as he thought.

"Simon, I couldn't help with your sister. My 'creator' was completely different than hers. He reveled in making me better than everyone elses attempts. Obviously he was good at it. I'm perfect in the way they want me to be." Bo said with a sad sigh.

He reached into his bag and pulled out the SIG Sauer he had carried with him everywhere. The semi-automatic gun was a trophy from a time he preferred not to remember. He sat it on the table near his bed. He also pulled out the two .357 revolvers that he'd gotten the same day as the rifle. He grinned when Simon's eyes got big.

'He's as bad as Jayne' Simon thought loudly.

"Not nearly." Bo responded to the silent comment. "These just hold a special sentiment is all."

Simons eyes got, if possible, wider. Then he remembered his sister was not the only psychic on board anymore. He stood and left the room as Bo pulled out a change of clothes and began to change. He passed Zoe in the hallway as she made her way to Bo's room.

"Uh, I wouldn't. He's changing." Simon called after her.

"I'll be fine," Zoe replied shortly.

"Okay." Simon said, confounded.

It's rather short this time, but it's packed with fun. Keep flying with me and enjoy the ride. I fly fast and rough, hope to hold you by the seat of your pants. Hope you all will be fueling my passion so I can keep flying.

Thanks again to my influences, Amdobell, Angellemarcs, and Werzbowski. Y'all keep me flying.

Wow, this was really action packed and fast moving. Not sure how Bo caught the handle of that knife while it was in flight but liked how he turned it back on the woman who had thrown it. And now Skoal has Inara, Mal' Achilles Heel. Things were going so well too. Can't wait for more! Keep up the good work, this was scorching. Ali D :~)
