fireflygal: you keep puttin' up those huge images! It made this "quickie art" possible, so thank you! I know it's not 'perfect', but some of you out there are jonesin' to do this (I know I am), so grab your iron-on transfer paper and get ready to make it happen!

Hah TCM great (whimsical?) minds do think alike.
I am in the process of resizing and red-eye correcting all of fireflygals images for her and while i was at it I cropped a zoom of Jayne's T-Shirt just like yours above and just printed the heat transfer.

Actually, in Standard (Beijing) Mandarin pronunciation there is no true vowel in "si" (or "zi"). It's /s/ (or /z/) followed by a syllabic /z/ sound.

Just to clarify, for those interested, in Standard (Beijing) Mandarin pronunciation the final "-i" in si (or zi or ci) is "s" (or "z" /ts/ or "c" aspirated /ts/) followed by a syllabic /z/ sound.
A sound like the "ir" of American English "bird" is used after the initial consonant of shi (close to "sh") [you'll see "shr" in Firefly scripts], zhi (close to "ch"), chi (close to aspirated "ch"), and ri (between American "r-" and the "-s-" sound in "measure").
After other consonants "-i" is "ee" /i/ as in "free."
