This is really cool. I agree that Jayne looks very protective and it fits with how I think of the character. I've imagined that Jayne comes from a big family, living out on a farm. His mother is as tough as nails, she had to be to keep him and the other in line. I suspect she's a lot like Zoe - a strong no-nonsense type of woman who keeps it together while under fire. Also I think our Jayne would be a big teddy bear around his mom; nothing at all like the way he is on Serenity. I like the way River is peeking over his shoulder.

This is good. Except for the fact that Jayne doesn't like River, and never will. For those of you J&R shippers, i'm going to avoid you people, no offense. Just not my type.

Too late...No avoiding us now , without your finding a nook or cranny somewhere on the ship , and you going into hiding...

I used to discount the 'rayne' vibe , but there really IS a LOT going on there...I noticed it a little , watching the show , and as it turns out , Jayne secretly has a 'thang' for River...She likes him , too...

Really , MalXOXOInara , excellent work...River looms slightly biggish , though...scale her back a bit , Jayne's s'posed to be 'the large one' !

Be interested to see the Simonara dynamic , and the Jaylee , too , in addition to the obvious MalNara one...
