Oooo, Kaylee! Beautiful work! In earnest, I'm liking this much better than the earlier River you did! You captured Kaylee extremely well!

Seeing this makes me wish I could do better than pencil sketches. Anyways, good work.

Every time I look at this, I'm dumbfounded by its perfection. :) Painting really is quite hard (at least for me); and I must say, again, that you really captured Kaylee extremely accurately.

According to your post on the River one, this is sort of a homemade paint by numbers right? Cool idea! I think the likeness is much better this time. And I think you're right about the colors. The River one was a bit too red. This one is a bit too grey. Maybe slightly more golden tones? Anyway, I can't wait to see the finished project.

Homemade paint by numbers is the perfect description. I work with the pic in PS and erase all background then I use a filter and make it a paper collage (I don't know if this is the right word coz I use the German version of this program). After that I print it in the right size and with the help of charcoal paper (originally used with typewriters to make a double without haveing to make a photocopy) I transfer the whole thing onto my canvas. Then I simply have to fill the right pieces with the right colors et voilà: my pic is ready... So, anybody else want to give it a try? It's easy to be an artist!!!!
