Well, that's great that you could be so close to them but...it's too much like stalking or like paparazzi to me. They deserve some private life you know.

Well, if you want a better shot I recomend an old school telephoto lens. My father has one and it's better even then binoculars. Just be careful people don't think you're a stalker. The only problem is telephoto lens' tend to be big. Digital might work, but I don't know how well they zoom.
