OK, I’ll admit that it’s a bit discouraging that the Serenity cast options for a sequel ran out in October, and I know that the line between hope and despair (hope and delusion?) can be a fine one. But when I examine my amygdala-stripped feelings, I find that I’m still nowhere near that line. Perhaps the trouble with having done the impossible is coming to expect it. Until Buddha brings me a sequel, I’ll have to settle for gifting the Collector’s Edition this Christmas. Ooooh, shiny black boxes!

Not sure if it was supposed to, but that looks a hell of a lot like the Death Star. I just got a whole bit of amusement in my head out of a Firefly/Star Wars crossover.

Yes, that's the Deathstar, and of course "There is another" is Yoda's enigmatic line from Empire Strikes Back. This "Will Be" wallpaper is a more desperate variation on the deliberate crossover image I composited back in '05 before the movie for proselytizing Star Wars fans who hadn't heard of Firefly. I later updated that to use the Star Wars font and remove the Sept 30 premiere date:
