Definitely would have to be a friggin' revelation to Mal, cuz I would think that had he been aware of his part in the Independents' defeat at the time...he wouldn't have come out of the valley:(
Still...someone should do a fanfic for this idea! I would volunteer, but I have so many plates spinning it ain't funny:(
