Okay not really my favorite, but I can't get it out of my head so now you all have to live with it too. (I'm trying to recall...didn't Mrs. Howell have a parasol in the opening credits also?)

Damn, you're right - that's pretty scary.
But where would Book fit in? I know - the Russian spy that comes to the island, since Book has a shady past.

I once started a fanfic on the same concept. Casting slightly different. Jayne or Wash as Gilligan, Icouldn't choose, Mal as the skipper. Simon and River as the millionaire and his wife ( nothing kinky ...) Inara as the Movie Star, Book as the Professor and Kaylee as MaryAnn. Which left out Zoe. Maybe Wash as Gilligan and Jayne as the chimp that keeps throwing the hand grenades...
I couldn't make the fundamental choices and inspiration didn't carry me very far, so I dropped it.

Oh...oh...this is so freaking brilliant! And Jayne's alternative moniker totally works, cuz he could argue it's supposed to be say like "Marion" and the doctor just didn't hear right;D
