Back to my roots: River. :) I always wanted to do this theme. It depicts how Serenity became a home for River. (Extended Commentary below).

It's very simple; it just consists of 4 panels, as it were. The first one is of River, in the Train Job, when she just came onboard and realizes she isn't at home. For the other 3, I went (for the artistic effect) rather literal; they show how, during her time onboard, River, in true River style, even established a tactile rapport with the ship. River going up the stairs stands symbol, of course, for River's progress aboard Mal's boat.

The pink-ish colors are meant to be reminiscent of the scene where she first came out of her box (but I already used that scene in one of my other works; so, x-nay on the reuse; though I had no issue with evoking the memory to that scene, lol).

The Train Job panel is "greyed out", as it were, and marked red, as, by the end of Objects in Space, it no longer applies. Which, last but not least, brings me to the title: "Makes her a home." From Mal's famous Love speech; here kinda used in double-entendre; as in: "Makes (for) her a home."

this is great--in all its simplistic glory! Good job.

Brilliant bit of jiggery-pokery you've done here, asarian! Definitely sells the message about River, her standing amongst the crew and how the ship's home;D

I think Iv'e saved about a thousand pictures of Firefly. I'm always impressed with the efforts and the results. Lots of talented Browncoats out there. This one is excellent!

These new images that are continually being created help keep Firefly fresh and alive on many different levels.
