But suddenly an alarm went off.

“Wash! What is it?” Mal demanded.

“Its… its the Falnax…” Wash said, after checking the screen.

Mal glanced over at Wash. “What do you mean it dropped out of the sky?”

“Well, Captain, what I mean is that one minute it was flying, the next it wasn’t.”

“But ships don’t just FALL out of the sky!” Mal started looking at the screen. “Why did it fall?”

“Maybe it was that part we all took outta it,” Jayne said. Everybody turned and looked at him. They had all been thinking it, but no one had wanted to say it. Nobody wanted the blame to fall on them. Nobody wanted to think that they had just killed all those people.
