Me as Kaylee with my very own (okay, maybe not my own, but I wish he was) Simon

FellingBlonde and EmmaRigby's choice. Hmm... I wonder if I have a story left to tell that I haven't told already. Well, it's basicly just moments really. Like saying hi in the hallway, getting a hug from him after this picture was taken, him laughing when monkey "Simon" started making chimpy noises at his autograph session. Good times!

Squeee!

Love that pic, girl! So he recognized you because of the monkey and the costume, hmm?

Mmmm, he looks good with a bit of stubble.

I KISSED HIM!

It was like a year ago, I just wanted to say it again. ;p

Great pic btw, I think I'm starting to like him more and more. That is Sean, not so much Simon.

"Love that pic, girl! So he recognized you because of the monkey and the costume, hmm?"

Most likely. The first time we said hi in the hallway I was dressed as myself with no monkey, though. But most likely I stood out because of my costume.

"That is Sean, not so much Simon."

I'm very aware of the fact, I was just making a little play on words, geez... lol... Should I've used quotation marks to underline the wordplay...? I thought it was obvious... lol, what did he say when you kissed him?

Man, you are one lucky, lucky girl.

I can just picture "Simon" making chimpy noises, Sean laughing, and you saying loudly, "No, Suimon! Bad monkey!" (... well, you should've... :wink).

"Bad Simon"? The monkey got Sean to smile his irresistible smile, I'm never opposed to making Sean to smile and/or laugh :)

I don't know if I asked, MissK, did you go to the meet and greet at the Con? Apparently, he was quite friendly, sociable and drunk there...and giggling. LOL!

No, here's the story... lol... don't you just see the bad starting with that sentenced.

When Cubed tickets went on sale, only those who had been at Serenity or Serenity Squared were allowed to book the first week. The first tickets would also be rewarded with getting into the Meet'n Greet. This can be viewed as fair or unfair, all depending on how you see it. On one side these were people who had supported the previous conventions and would've gotten the chance to book their tickets if they went on sale at the actual convention, so in that aspect, the decision was fair.

But for someone in my situation who was guilted out of going to Squared, this felt like just another punch in the gut, especially since I had supported Starfury by going to three of their other events. As there was nothing I could do about it, I simply had to wait until it was free for the rest of us to order. I got through on the phone around one hour after the ticket sales were opened for all and my ticket number became 226. The Meet'n Greet was for tickets 1-175. So I had friends in there, but I wasn't.

The next thing is gonna make me sound utterly pathetic, but well, I guess I am, then. I wanted to be able to thank Jewel for being the reason I got into Firefly, so I decided, in case I got a chance to tell her that when she went back to the green room (without being imposing), I would. So I spent a couple of hours in the hallway, leaning back towards a pillar, looking longingly towards the suite where the Meet'n Greet was held.

However, people kept thinking I was sad or lonely, so a lot of people approached me from time to time to socialize with me... lol... and I'm glad there are such great people in the world who took notice of me (because before I started going to conventions I always believed that I could enter a room and unless I made myself hear, nobody would notice. I believed that I was doomed to forever be the wallflower. Clare Kramer is the reason I stopped believing that, but that's a whole other story). So eventually Jewel did return to the green room, but right at that moment a nice couple had decided to take pity on my lonesomeness (or my apparent lonesomeness, cause like I stated earlier, I had friends at the con), so they were talking to me and involuntarely blocked any chance I had to see if I could say hi...

Just my luck, right...? I did have an other opportunity later, when she was at the bar, talking with some other fans. I didn't interrupt or do anything, because I don't want to impose or bother her in any way. A staff member told me she was on her way to the car and asked if I could move a bit aside so that the path would be clear, which of course I did. Wanna guess what happened...?

Another girl went to the spot where I'd been standing before I moved to clear the path just as Jewel said bye to the other two and the two of them started talking. The staffmember who had asked me to clear the path saw this, saw me and I guess he felt bad for me, so he nodded to me and said "make it quick".

However Jewel didn't see me, through no fault of hers or mine. I was just in the wrong place and our eyes didn't meet, so...

Sean on the other hand had seen me when he had passed earlier that night, so we said a quick hi...

Don't feel bad for me on my slightly unluckiness the first day, because I did get to tell Jewel what I had wanted to tell her in the autograph session on the last day and that was all that mattered. She did seem to appreciate me telling her that, also, so all was good in the end :)

Ohh, thanks for the story. It made for a very fun read!

How many more pictures do you have, hmm?
