Nice pic. BTW Check http://filebox.vt.edu/users/cknestri/Orbiter/
for a "location MFD" it will allow you to change what you are orbiting without doing anything more complex that entering the name.

What I really want to do is download the scenario design tool (I think that's what I want) and find a way to change the fuel burn ratio on this puppy. It's a horrendous gas hog and you'd think it'd have a bit better duration. I'd also like to look into expanding the capabilites of the game from system travel to interstellar. That or design a system with hundreds of terraformed worlds/moons to visit (as some adhere to as the physical reality of the FF "universe" ... though I'm of the "interstellar travel" tribe).

Hello Arlo; the Scenario design too (scenario editor at Avsim.com) will only allow you to create new scenarios and not alter the ship. To alter the ship you need to change the .cfg file for the firefly and change the engines.
You can design a system with a hundrend worlds but you can't make intersteller travel in Orbiter (not yet anyways) there are add on systems but you only get secenarios that let you be there.

I suppose I'll keep unchecking "realistic fuel" and look at designing one mother whopper of a system. But what this game really needs is a first person shooter added. And horses. Heh.

Horses can be done ;)
The "Delta Glider III" has a guy in a space suit that can do EVAs and walk around places (FPS style but with no guns) so a horses can't be too hard.

If you don't like the fuel consumption rate, you can always just disable fuel altogether.
under the parameters tab, just uncheck the "limited fuel" option. I usually only use limited fuel if I'm trying out tricks with the delta-glider.
