I cannot say it enough times; the triangle points down, the star points up. Exactly 56 seconds into the pilot, right as Mal tears the patch off, you see the officer lying on the ground with his head pointing left and the patch pointing right, meaning the triangle was pointing down his body. I don't understand how this was freeze-framed or screencapped well enough to get the actual design of the patch, yet very few people can tell which way it's supposed to go.
Anyway, otherwise shiny.

PhoenixRose: the leiutenant's is placed like that, but if you look closely Mal's points upward. Here's a link to a still-flying.net screencap:
Just to clear things up. Or maybe that doesn't clear things up. Seems theres a bit of an inconsistency.
Thanks for this image starfighter.

Looks good save some artifacts on the symbol. I've got some better images of the logo if you are interested, just drop me a line.

Only the LT's patch, for some reason, is point down star up. Mal's and the other Browncoats that have them both in the pilot and War Stories all point up with star down. Therefore this picture is showing it right. Nice job by the way, just needs a better looking Browncoat image.
