touching, feeling, though feel like dying

living, breathing, i just keep flying

they took the stars from the sky above

they took my land, they took my love

my head tells me what we did was right

and i know that he wanted to fight this fight

but in the silence in the dark in my bed

i no longer seem to listen to my head

my heart screams while i remain dumb

with the burning knowledge: he will not come

my fingers are on the trigger, the gun against my head

just one touch and i would be dead

sometimes it's unbearable and i can't stand the pain

and it seems i will never ever smile again

they saw my love and took him from me

but i still and will always have my serenity

note: written in a bad mood durin' a history lesson so... not particualarly inspired. but you get the picture. think maybe i should stick to fanfics!

Not sure why you don't consider yourself a poet, Sofi; this seems exactly the mindset I'd expect from Zoe post-movie. It's not exactly warm and fuzzy, but then, some of the best poetry isn't.

A job well-done.
