I am watching Done the Impossible. Somehow I missed this film. It feels like I can live Firefly just a tiny moment longer watching it here on Netflix... I got into this show late. That happens with pretty much every show I love... X-Files and Lost, for instance. I always miss the first two years. Anyway, first I saw the movie with my loved ones, and it was great. The trailers had made it a must see, and it didn't disappoint. I especially loved Zoe... I am a Black female and a veteran, and I could relate to her, admire her. And I loved that the villain was Black too! And what there was another Black character? What? Bad-ass Shepherd??? Total spectrum. And I loved loved loved Mal. Oh and Jayne. And Inara and ok all of them. I then moved somewhere with a great library where Firefly was in the dvd collection. Iicked it up because I loved the movie so much. there was sonetimes a wait on some of the discs but I really got into it. And then I went to look for more discs and there weren't any! And the movie had already been made so I had no victory to share :(. And Shepherd and Wash were killed in it... I saw that WB was supposed to pick it up but they didn't... At least my daughter loves it and we know what's shiny in life and what is not. And some day I will dress as Zoe and go to Comic-Con :)

Firefly is a phenomena whose messages resonate deeply with me. Its primary message of acceptance is powerful and transformative. It portrays a disparate group of individuals who become a "family" by choice, an interracial couple deeply in love acting as equals, and strong female characters intuitively healing the deep hurts of those around them. From the first episode, "Serenity" to the last, "Objects in Space", I am invested in their trials and mishaps. I identify with their everyday struggles to survive on the edge in a society engineered to favor the wealthy and well connected. I revel in the love that makes them stronger than the forces that seek to control them. They inspire me to embrace the unknown, and do the impossible, because that's what makes us mighty. Keep Flying...

Well very good news Browncoats. I reenlisted for another 3 years of the service and I'm going to live in Germany starting in January!

Hey there fellow Browncoats. I'm ashamed to admit, I haven't been on in quite a while. Has the Blue Sun Room been cleaned of old fiction? I was searching for my old screenplays and nothing came up... If so, are there any veterans here who'd like me to re-post? I'm also working on some new stuff, as inspiration has begun to creep in once again... Thanks and stay shiny! Rob O.
