So, my wife and I go to the local coffee place for desserts after supper. OK, so we walk in and someone new comes to help us, tells us he's new (it actually was his first hour), etc. We, of course, make the joke about ordering something that he doesn't know how to make. We both order a peice of cheese-cake. Since we wanted it to go, he had to find the take-out containers. He asked the owners mother (who was helping him) where they were, but she didn't know. I pointed out the place where they were kept and then made the joke, "How can you tell I'm here often?" After that, we ordered a double espresso each. There was no beans in the machine and he needed to grind some. I told him that I couldn't help him with that (I didn't know where the beans were kept, what kind, etc), so he asked the owner. She said that another customer (can't remember the name) knew, and as she was saying that a hand came from behind holding a bag of espresso beans. I then proceeded to tell him basically, how to make espresso. No, you can't use that side of the machine, the tubes are plugged. Yes, you can use that other one. etc. All in all, a somewhat interesting experience. Probably for the both of us and anyone else that happened to be there as well. Just thought I'd share

Yes, fellow BCs, I was not all that happy with the sound quality of the first batch of MP3 FF ringtones I told y'all about awhile back... Didn't like going back & forth in my crappy Alliance [XP pro] sound WAV editor from MP3 format... Wasn't all that thrilled with the sound quality of the original FF theme MP# I used, either. So whilst perusing SoCalBrowncoats Yahoo group, I found not only a better MP3 version, but also an MP3 of the Serenity-Landing theme from the BDM -- love that cello intro! Plus they had the Fruity-Oaty-Bar MP3 as well... Well, before you could say "Arrrrgh, matey" I had those shiny pretties downloaded into my hold for later messin'... So now you can get ye way better sound quality MP3 of not just the originals I did a month or so back, but also the Serenity Theme from the BDM, the AintWeJust clip from "Safe" and 2 versions of the Fruity-Oaty-Bar song. So's ye can e-mail me as usual likes before at MAGhaffar@wayoftheseekers.com, or you can go to SoCalBrowncoats Yahoo group at:

I can't believe I've been on this site for almost three hours. I was going to go to bed at three, but then I decided to log on here for just a few minutes to check out any updated news. I found a thread talking about Slither so I gave my two cents. I saw the movie yesterday with my friend, and we both loved it. Nathan was great, and I swear there were a few FF referances in the movie. Maybe it was just my imagination running wild, but I could have sworn they were there. (Browncoat/ Kaylee's name/ A little Mal in Nathan's Character) hehe After the Slither thread I found a thread with all these quizes on which FF character you are most like. There were four different quizes and I had to take all four of them. Funny enough in two of them I was Mal and the other two I was River. What a combo huh? That's either really cool or really scary. Of course inbetween all this I was looking up random Chinese tranlations. Now I can put FF/ Serenity on my list of reasons why I never sleep at night. At least this reason is a worth wild one! Before I saw Slither the other day I went to this adult Easter Egg Hunt with my mom and aunt. I never hang out with my family anymore, and my mom really wanted me to go with her to this thing. So I blew a perfectly good Saturday and made the trip with them. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, and something wonderful happened. The way it works is you get a list of a bunch of businesses on them. You go from business to business collecting eggs. In each egg could be a prize, candy, or both. I went to a video store and collected an egg there. Later I open it up, and it says I've won a free movie from the video store. I go there and what's one of the movies I can choose....SERENITY!!!! I've been so broke the last few months I couldn't afford the movie yet. Now because of this Easter thing I won the movie. I'm staring at it right now. I was so excited. What Browncoat luck huh? :D The weird thing was there was only five movies I could pick, and who would have thought Serenity would have been one of them. Good times! Long live Firefly! Night all....and remember...We aim to misbehave!

i was looking around in the chat today when sudenly this "Guest" character starts talking when it looks like there's three of them! I don't know who they are, when I make a conversation with them. It was all sorts of creepy and disturbing... perhaps ten kinds! Then one asks me about my age and I'm thinking (Reavers) or something along the lines of that if you catch my drift. Feaky people. Who are they anyway?
