Don't Know How To Love Him
Tuesday, 08 February 2005 06:52:59

I don't know how to love him What to do How to move him I've been changed Yes really changed In these past few days when I've seen myself I seem like someone else I don't know how to take this I don't see why he moves me He's a man He's just a man And I've had so many men before In very many ways He's just one more Should I bring him down Should I scream and shout Should I speak of love Let my feelings out I never thought I'd come to this What's it all about? Don't you think it's rather funny I should be in this position I'm the one Who's always been So calm, so cool No lover's fool Running every show He scares me so I never thought I'd come to this What's it all about? Yet... If he said he loved me I'd be lost I'd be frightened I couldn't cope Just couldn't cope I'd turn my head I'd back away I wouldn't want to know He scares me so I want him so I love his so... Was randomly singing that...and came to the conclusion that it can work for both Inara on Mal and Kaylee on Simon. Both have been around...Inara more so, and how their feelings for the respective guys are like that. I mean, we all know how Inara is and how she won't say anything about Mal...but Kaylee, for all her flirting and hoping, I think if Simon actually said something, she'd be freaked out...just the musings of the girl obsessed with musicals...perhaps I'll make a song fic with this song. Once I finish "Just Like Any Girl Would Be", which I still need to figure out how to continue.Oy. :banghead:

One fan's lament - The Firefly that was.
Tuesday, 08 February 2005 13:19:02

I suppose it has finally struck home. Some 234 days out from the premier.... and despite everything that's been said, or what I've heard, etc... reading bits and pieces of spoilers has made me come to the conclusion that our quaint lil Firefly show really is gone - for good. And I miss it. Sure, the ship and her crew will be on the big screen come next Fall, but it won't be the same. Seems so many of the little things that set Firefly apart will be white washed and pushed aside. It's not a question of whether or not I'll go SEE the BDM. And I'll probably like it ... I hope I do. But I can't help but think about what would have happened to our BDH's in the series and how things are now irrevocably altered . Sure this or that might have very well played out as it does in the movie, but it would have taken time. Charachters would have moved on in one fashion or another, but I sense that things in the movie are now greatly hastened. And losing that part of the story is tough to take, even if we get to see a little more ..before the end. " Yeah, but were it not for the movie, we'd NEVER see 'em fly again.... ". I know, I know. It's just that it won't be the same. Not in some ways, it won't. I'm sure we'll see flashes of this or that which will *seem* familar.....but as for Black Market Beagals, Shan U, Stupid hats and ...well, that 'special hell'. Too many to count. I know....can't please anyone if you try to please everyone. ....still, glad I got those DVDs
