Need a reader!

Alright, well...I've noticed I'm not so good with the dialogue (as I've said MANY times before), and I wrote a little more on my story. The second part is still in the process of being written, but I'd like a beta-reader to help me out, that way I can avoid re-editing it and re-editing it after I posted it. Any takers:wink:? Just to tease you all, here's the very first paragraph of the second installment of "Sweet Serenity": The wind pushed lightly past his face, waving his hair around his forehead. He closed his eyes so he could feel the gentle breeze pass through. He opened them to find himself sitting on a large, circular stone that was dug into the ground. He looked fondly upon the bamboo stems as they joined his hair in their dance with the wind. He looked up to see the rays of the sun sneaking past the leaves as they too joined in the dance. The effect was the shadows on the ground moving in harmony with everything else. It was Nature’s Dance. He just had to smile.

Shindig at a pool

The 29th of this month was my friends birthday. He turned 26. so after work we took him out even though I had to work a double in the morning. Wild turkey and rattle snakes and alot of beer later he was up in his boxers dancing on the table and the pole. After the bar closed we went to his house for a pool party. I don't remember much about that night. I do know however is that when I woke up the next day we were all naked out and around the pool. I'm still trying to figure out what her name was, just jokeing. When I got to work everyone told me that I looked like SH** and acted like it too. NO MORE BEER FOR ME THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ecstatic... yet inwardly seething with Rage!

Okay... first blog entry and as it pertains to me and is Firefly related, I thought it might be worth mentioning... Sometimes, looking back on a situation, you wish you could have done things a little bit differently. When I set out on my quest to tell the whole world about the greatness of Firefly I never reckoned it would bring any greater consequences than to hopefully (cross fingers and wish) raise awareness towards bringing back the show. However, the joy it has brung me in creating a new flock of Firefly devotees has all been relative. Not only did my bestest of best friends reject the show simply because it was a sci-fi (okay, I did attempt to show her the pilot episode first thing in the morning when she wasn't in the best of moods) but it caused me the greatest heartaching jealousy I have ever experienced. Having swiftly converted my ex-boyfriend (now simply close friend and fellow sci-fi buff) into a die-hard Firefly fan, I was totally gutted when, about a week ago, he told me he had been to the London Film and Comic Con. Not only had both Ron Glass and Alan Tudyk been there, but Nathan Fillion (Oh Mal... you are my hero!) had also put in an appearance. Of course, as soon as he told me (luckily over e-mail) I promptly threw a hissy fit and then started to cry. He even got a professional photo taken with the guy. Oh so close and yet so far. I'm still devastated. Anyways... now its been a week and I have suitably calmed down enough to meet up with my ex without killing him. I'll definately be drowning my sorrows when we next go out for beers, but I suppose thats life.
