Browncoat Recruitin' Update...

Got a friend who's seen the BDM and really liked it, so had him drive me around today lookin' for the BDM-CE and finally located it at Best Buy after visiting two stores... So of course was doing the hard sell of why he should see the series. So long story short, I loans him my FF boxset PLUS the original Serenity BDM to take with him when he goes up to Washington state in a few days... Figure he's already a BC -- just ain't officiallyt signed up, but this from a guy who only saw the BDM and a few eps of the BDS with me over a year ago and he instantly got the whole "family" thing with Mal and the Crew. So he will defintely be watching the series and movie in Washington when he goes to visit his daughter and her boyfriend, so we've one given and two possibles in the ranks of the faithful. Plus, I encouraged the waitress who served us at dinner to watch Serenity and check out FF on netflix, so might have another one. Yep... I had a good day.

From Russia with love...

I have been in St. Petersburg for exactly 5 weeks now. Im starting to get a bit homesick. It is a very beautiful and interesting city, but living out of a suitcase in a hostel starts to loose its charm. I have the first russian exam on wednesday, and I hope it will go allright. The oral is on friday... that one will be the worst. I hate oral exams. Its only one week left, one more week to try to get as much fun and education as possible out of this city. Its a rather exhausting thought, but i have already been to the eremitage twice and many of the other big museums so maybe its time to focus on the vodka...

i'd like to thank the people that read my last blog and let me hear a little about themselves, helping me understand so much more about grief and death. it might take awhile, but i am living still with a beating heart, and i'm going to keep living with a shiny smile on my face for as long as i can. i again thank all of you, for opening yourselves to me. i really needed that. ~Beth
