About requests and some other stuff
Friday, 03 March 2006 04:01:21

Had a lot of requests that I'm slowly but surely makeing my way through..Also had folks request to use my drawings for related things..cool.. We're all fans here, and as long as I know where they're going..and it's not,you know, porn related, I'm down with it. Hey, it's all firefly/serenity, and anything that'll help keep it alive I'm for it.. Tonight we get a double dose since Smallville's a rerun and nothing much on 'till CSI...

K so if anyone has read my previous entry today, they would know that I got an unexpected day off. (snow) So, I decide to step out of the box and remember what my life was like BFF/S. So I am watching this GROSS thing about polygomy (sorry mormon browncoats hehe) and all I can think of is why are ALL these guys so gross? Is it cuz they have 40 wives and can let themselves go? Crazy gorram freaks! If Nathan was the poster child for polygomy, I think it could work. (even the crazy Scientologists would have a run for there money!) by the way, sorry Scientologists, no aliens on Firefly, tough break... bye y'all

1 blocked ear + 1½ hour long flight = PAIN!
Friday, 03 March 2006 05:13:38

So here we are muppets... The end of another hard week, with our shoulders aching and our livers begging us not to destroy them even further. Our tummies are rumbling with anticipation of weekend food (yum!) and our feet looking forward to a couple days of respite. And all I care about right now is my gorram ear! It is still blocked (going on a week and a bit) and I have a painful flight tomorrow... *sigh... It really hasn't been my week... It has been the busiest week ever! We took a record # of calls in one day (280 jobs and now multiply that by about 10 - as that is about the number of calls we have to make associated to each job, and there you have it!) But, I do have some bad news - because I am going to Brisbane, chances are, I won't be back until the following Sunday (the 11th for us Auzdogs

On the Big Screen
Friday, 03 March 2006 07:09:05

Well, I'm staying at my dah's house for the weekend and I've decided to make it my personal goal to watch Firefly on his enormous, wall sized projector screen, surround sound home theater. Not all at one mind you... that would probably lead to a pleasure overload and subsequent heart attack. But over the next couple of weeks it is my goal to see them in all their big screen glory. Huzzah.

American analogy
Friday, 03 March 2006 20:11:47

So last night I went to see the Black Watch and the Welsh Guard Band (nice, if you are in to bagpipes and such, which I am starting to think I am not) and of course it got me to thinking about the American revolution and how we broke off from England. So what I got to thinking it, if the Browncoats had managed to succeed in their mission, would it have been possible for them to form a formidable "nation" ? This set my mind thinking for most of the concert. And I came to the idea that no, they could not make a nation, but rather an alliance of their own set up of independent moons that band together when needed. Of course, then I realized that it is almost like the United States with their different states with different laws. Of course then my mind got to thinking about possible names. The Browncoat Federation The United Browncoats of Space The Independent Federation of the Verse Yeah, my mind tends to wander, especially when I am bored and have had one too many Kiltlifters. Not that it was a bad concert, it was nice and my friends are awesome, its just that I can't sit still for too long. Not without my mind going every which way but asleep.

Finally it is out in Germany, too. I bought the Serenity 2DVD set today! So guess what I will be doing tonight  And Buffy is on German TV again, starting with the very first ep tonight. Cool! Seems they will only be showing the first season for a start, though. Never mind, that is the season I have not yet seen. It will be the German dubbed version, though, which is not quite as funny as the English original. There are just so many puns and dry comments in it which are not easily translatable. I started writing a new fanfic story, but I won't tell anything about it yet.

Interesting email...
Friday, 03 March 2006 22:25:11

Amazon.com emailed me today and told me I might be interested in some Science Fiction film called "Serenity." Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... Maybe I'll check it out. I'll let you guys know if it's worth the trouble.

Crashed My Car
Friday, 03 March 2006 22:29:30

Skidded on an icy road. Missed two cars, smashed my right front wheel against the curb. Sat in the middle of the road for an hour waiting for the recovery folks. The wheel is easily replaced, might be other (brakes, axle) damage. We'll see. What jolly Friday night fun it was.

Well, okay, the album actually didn't go anywhere, but CDBaby took a long nap in the last 24 hours. However, she's up and runnin' again, so if you tried and failed to get your own copy of the Bedlam Bards' On the Drift: Music Inspired by Firefly and Serenity, you can do it now at
