Spreading the Word

Got my next door neighbor, who's my adoptive mei-mei, to come in for a facial. She sat down, and I said: "I've got something really cool to show you." "K," she said. On came the "Firefly" pilot. The facial was done, and she sat down on the couch to watch the remaining part of the eppy with me. She'd make comments and laugh but more than anything, she watched intently. At the end, I said, "So?" Did you like it?" "MAN, IT'S GOOD! IT ROCKS!! IT'S..." "Shiny?" "Absolutely!" There you have it - I've got the DVDs for Xmas - and already made a new convert. Shiny! Tracy

Okay, time for a really stupid question. On my computer at work, I can't access any websites that I don't already have saved as favorites. I have Internet Explorer. Every time I try to go somewhere new, the screen says: Error FW-1 at agocfw 1: Failed to connect to the WWW server. Now can someone please tell me what in the good gorram that means and what I have to do to fix it?

Palantiri Politics
Wednesday, 29 December 2004 23:03:31

Just a thought I got while watching the Return of the King box set. As everyone knows, the Palantiri, or Seeing Stones, enabled those of strong will to see things far off, or communicate w/ others. The Palantir didn't lie, but it might not give the viewer the whole truth either. Basically, the Palantir could show you some small portion of what was. However, even a true image and taking it out of context...well, it can be deadly. Ask Denethor. Anyway... it sort of reminded me of how politics works. Sure, some times there is out and out lying, but more often than not, we get snippits of truth mixed in with well constructed propaganda. Long story short... ( cause right now I'm drawing a blank as to what all I WAS going to say ... ) don't be swayed by things which are out of your control..just keep doing what you know, stay the course and you'll be fine. I'll try to bbl and clarify more, if i can.
