We took Zoe (our dog) to the groomers. When we went to pick her up, I asked if she was a good girl. The lady replied that she was good until they had to clip her nails. She asked if we had clipped her nails and hurt her once. I told her that we've never clipped her nails, and that we always have them professionally done so we wouldn't hurt her. When we got Zoe home, we noticed that not 1, not 2, but 3 of her toes were bloody. No freakin' wonder she cried while getting her nails clipped. They were lucky she's a good girl, because she's a big dog and capable of causing damage. Instead she just cried. I don't think I'm going to go to that groomers anymore. I'll take her to the vet for nail clipping like I usually do. I feel so bad. My dad tells about how mym mom was clipping my nails when I was a baby and clipped my littel finger. I was fine, but she apparently bawled for a week. I kow how she feels. I cried and felt guilty when I found out what happened to my poor puppy dog. Oh, she's fine now. The physical dammage was minimal. I'm still a bit pissy though.

Hey, you know what, I have too many logs but who can resist another one. I do love to ramble on about nothing. I totally recruited someone with scifi Friday. First non family member. And maybe another one as well, but he is very slow to email, so he hasn't told me what he thought yet. I have another friend who's interested in giving it a look see but the problem is getting him over here to watch. I know this is probably pitiful compared to some, but since I work at home I have a limited sphere of influence.

Actually, it's a job I've had before, enjoyed and probably shouldn't have given up. But, it gets me out of the one I'm disliking right now, so ... PARTY! How this relates to you (in my twisted, "me first" train of thought) - I'll have more time at work to post and work on fanfic! Don't lie. I know you've missed me. So, today and tomorrow is all I've got left at this job. It's the happiest I've ever been here.

So my buddy (and fellow Browncoat) Tree was up on the roof attaching another tin roofing panel when he commented that the number of ridges on the new roofing panels made it harder for him to stagger the screws evenly. Then he said, "I miss the old ones. These new ones don't math out the same." I thought it sounded like something a Serenity crew member would have said. Then I had a sudden image of Tree in the Firefly-verse, and I had this idea to write a fanfic that placed my neighbors and circle of friends on an old ship in the Black. Then I decided to lie down until the urge to write fanfic went away.
